Educational institutions have been adding new campuses and facilities in the last few years to cater to growing student populations and new courses. SOE’s participation in these exciting projects included The Chinese High School new buildings, NAFA new campus, ITE at Tampines and etc.
Besides administration offices and classrooms which could be similar to office buildings, other features for educational buildings include theatres, assembly halls, canteens, sport complex, libraries, etc. Electrical challenges were most felt in the ELV systems such as Wireless Microphones, Public Address system, Emergency Evacuation system, Security and Access Control system, chimes, etc which must be flexible, reliable and integrated.
The special effect lightings and sound system in drama centres and the associated dimming, scene-select systems were also not frequently encountered in other building projects.
