Mr Loh graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer of Singapore since 2004 (P Eng no: 3808) and a Singapore’s Energy Market Authority (EMA) certified Switching Engineer (EMA Licensed Electrical Worker no: 9/20744).
Mr Loh joined Ngee Cheong Contractors Pte Ltd after graduation as a project engineer and later in 2001 moved to Parsons Brinckerhoff Pte Ltd, as an Electrical Engineer. His responsibilities in Parsons included design, supervision, testing and commissioning of electrical projects such as the Kim Chuan MRT Depot, MRT Circle Line Stages 4 & 5 and the Jurong Water Reclamation Plant.
Mr Loh returned to Ngee Cheong in 2004 as General Manager. Between 2004 and 2007, Mr Loh successfully supervised and completed more than $100 million of M&E project works undertaken by Ngee Cheong including the prestigious St Regis Hotel that opened at the end of 2007.
Mr Loh was appointed Director of SOE Engineering in July 2007.
In his previous capacity as a Consultant Engineer, Mr Loh worked closely with clients and developers through various stages of projects from conceptualisation to completion. This experience gave him keen sense of clients’ priorities. He applies these experiences to guide SOE towards customer oriented deliveries.
Mr Loh is actively involved in the operation of SOE. He injects technical and management competence into our project activities. He also supervised testing and commissioning of numerous regional projects in Malaysia and Thailand.
He is currently overseeing our new project at the future landmark of Marina Bay – The Marina Bay Financial Centre complex.
