DAVID SUNG

David received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Wisconsin, Madison USA in 1984. He is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer of Singapore since 1989 (P Eng no: 2483) and a Singapore’s Energy Market Authority (EMA) certified 22 KV Switching Engineer (EMA Licensed Electrical Worker no: 9/13330).

In his earlier career, David was an electrical engineer with the Mass Rapid Transit Corporation, involved in the installation, testing and commissioning of 22KV distribution cables, transformers and switchgears, 750V DC traction power distribution cables and equipment for MRT stations and trains. David left MRTC in 1989 when Phase I & II was fully operational.

David joined Esso Singapore Pte Ltd as a Senior Engineer at Pulau Ayer Chawan refinery between 1989 and 1992. His responsibilities included design and execution of electrical and instrument projects on the island, provide technical support to regional projects in Guam and Taiwan, etc.

David joined a local electrical contractor Ngee Cheong Contractors Pte Ltd between 1992 and 2005 as General Manager. He was fully responsible for its business undertakings during that period.

David joined the Board of Director of SOE in 2005.

David’s more than 20 years of experience in local and regional M&E projects and his hands-on experience in managing engineering companies provide guidance to the management team of SOE. He is the principle driving force behind the transformation in SOE since 2005.

His immediate task is to steward development of SOE to a well-positioned M&E contractor in the local construction industry.

LOH CHUNG HUA
DIRECTOR

Mr Loh graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer of Singapore since 2004 (P Eng no: 3808) and a Singapore’s Energy Market Authority (EMA) certified Switching Engineer (EMA Licensed Electrical Worker no: 9/20744).

Mr Loh joined Ngee Cheong Contractors Pte Ltd after graduation as a project engineer and later in 2001 moved to Parsons Brinckerhoff Pte Ltd, as an Electrical Engineer. His responsibilities in Parsons included design, supervision, testing and commissioning of electrical projects such as the Kim Chuan MRT Depot, MRT Circle Line Stages 4 & 5 and the Jurong Water Reclamation Plant.

Mr Loh returned to Ngee Cheong in 2004 as General Manager. Between 2004 and 2007, Mr Loh successfully supervised and completed more than $100 million of M&E project works undertaken by Ngee Cheong including the prestigious St Regis Hotel that opened at the end of 2007.

Mr Loh was appointed Director of SOE Engineering in July 2007.

In his previous capacity as a Consultant Engineer, Mr Loh worked closely with clients and developers through various stages of projects from conceptualisation to completion. This experience gave him keen sense of clients’ priorities. He applies these experiences to guide SOE towards customer oriented deliveries.

Mr Loh is actively involved in the operation of SOE. He injects technical and management competence into our project activities. He also supervised testing and commissioning of numerous regional projects in Malaysia and Thailand.

He is currently overseeing our new project at the future landmark of Marina Bay – The Marina Bay Financial Centre complex.

LIM WAN PEY
DIRECTOR
E Eng (EE) (Hons), LEW

Nationality: Malaysian (Singapore PR)

Ms Lim received her Bachelor of Engineering degree (Hon) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2001. She has been in the local electrical contracting field since graduation, and received her Singapore Energy Market Authority (EMA) Technician license in 2004.

Ms Lim joined SOE Engineering as Director in April 2006.

Under her leadership, SOE successfully completed Design & Build of The Botanic at Lloyd Condominium (S$1.3 Million), 5-storey Regent Motors Car Showroom at Alexandra Road (S$ 1.2 Million), Upgrading of 22KV Electrical Equipment at Downtown East (S$850,000), etc.

In Nov 2006, Ms Lim was assigned with the Singapore Capacity Expansion Project for Abbott Nutrition International in Tuas (S$24 Million).

The electrical scopes undertaken by us included 22KV, 6.6KV switchgear installation and cabling, 14 transformers of various ratings, LV MSB, MCC, equipment and distribution, lighting and small power, security, fire alarm, BAS cabling, earthing and lightning protection, etc.

Through her astute management, Abbott was completed in Feb 2008, meeting the client’s stringent expectations and to their satisfaction.

Her visions for better training and working environment, and preparations for elevated industrial standards motivated management and staff alike.

With the changes put in motion by Ms Lim, SOE is well placed to take advantage of the vibrant economic landscape of Singapore.
